The use of alternative energy in schools has begun
On the initiative of the Ministry of Education, with the support of bp and partners, the project "Heating secondary schools in Azerbaijan with pellet products" is being implemented. The project is implemented by the Volunteer Public Association of Azerbaijan.
The project provides for heating of secondary schools in our country that do not have natural gas or other alternative heating systems by means of pellet fuel. Pellet fuel is an environmentally friendly source of energy derived from the processing of wood and wood waste.
As part of the project, pellet fuel heating systems have been installed in 5 schools selected in Tovuz and Agstafa district.
It should be noted that the implementation of the project, along with solving the problem of heating in the schools of the beneficiary communities, will give impetus to the creation and wide use of renewable, environmentally friendly energy sources in Azerbaijan.
