International students take part in a tree-planting event
On November 20, under the auspices of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Education, and the IDEA Public Association, a tree-planting campaign with the motto "From Victory to Green Thought" was held in Khojasan settlement as part of the "Green Marathon" project.
Leaders of relevant structures and heads of relevant departments, foreign students studying in our country, representatives of higher education institutions, and graduates of the "State Program 2007-2015" and "Intergovernmental Scholarship Programs" attended the tree planting campaign. Representatives from the State Migration Service and the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also took part in the marathon.
More than 100 international students from 17 higher education institutions from 48 countries took part in the Autumn Tree Planting Marathon to improve the environment, increase green areas, and increase networking and social activity among international students, as well as to encourage international students to study in Azerbaijan.
At the end of the event, participants' impressions were heard and dozens of commemorative photos were taken.
