A new approach to the recognition of foreign diplomas
The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education has modified the approach used in the framework of the examination for the recognition of foreign diplomas, taking into account the principles of the Convention on “The Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education in the European Region”, as well as global best practices in this area.
According to the amendments, the conformity between the specialty obtained at the master's level and the specialty obtained at the bachelor's level will no longer be required. That is, if students who have received a Bachelor's degree continue their education in another qualification in a foreign country, their diplomas will be recognized in the country.
Thus, under the new approach, citizens who have previously been denied in recognition of their foreign diplomas in the country for the reasons stated above may apply to the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education for a new application to reconsider the decision made.
