Education is the future of the nation!
On April 14, Education Minister, Misir Mardanov, met with a delegation led by the rector of Eastern Mediterranean University of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Abdulla Oztoprak.
On April 14, Education Minister, Misir Mardanov, met with a delegation led by the rector of Eastern Mediterranean University of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Abdulla Oztoprak. Having expressed his satisfaction at seeing the guests in Azerbaijan, the Minister talked about broadening collaboration between the two countries in the education field. He stressed the importance of creating relations between Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) and Azerbaijan education institutions, holding joint scientific conferences, and organizing trips for Azerbaijan education delegation to Northern Cyprus.
In his turn, the rector of EMU, Abdulla Oztorpak, gave information about the EMU and stressed that 37 students from Azerbaijan are studying, as well as about 10 teachers are working there on different specialities. Afterwards the guest talked about the history of EMU, existing specialities, and stated that the development of bilateral collaboration has particular importance.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on creating relations between colleges and some universities operating in the country, as well as touched upon the issue of Azerbaijani students’ study at EMU and realizing some events in these directions.
