An event devoted to the result of painting competition, dedicated to the massacre committed by Armenian against Azerbaijanis during the history, took place at “Child World” Art Gallery of the Young Children’s Art Palace, named after T. Ismailov, on March 31.
On March 31, an event devoted to the result of painting competition, dedicated to the massacre committed by Armenian against Azerbaijanis during the history, took place at “Child World” Art Gallery of the Young Children’s Art Palace, named after T. Ismailov. The art exhibition consisted of artworks submitted to the Republican Art Competition on the theme “Armenian genocide.” Speaking at the event Deputy Minister, Elmar Gasimov, said the massacre committed by Armenian against Azerbaijanis is one of the terrible tragedies of XX century. He stressed that such kind of tragedies were committed periodically in different regions of the country in a certain interval of time, and noted the traces of the genocide still are being investigated.
He reminded the participants that in 1998 the national leader Heydar Aliyev gave a political and legal assessment to the massacre committed by Armenian on 31 March, 1918, and noted the importance of this document. E.Gasimov added that information about cruelty of Armenians should be brought to the attention of the world audiences and every Azerbaijani should facilitate this.
The Deputy Minister noted the pictures collected in the gallery reflect hatred to the wildness of the Armenians, and at the same time show the patriotic spirit of youth is very high.
Afterwards, the vice-chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Ajnur Sofieva made a speech. Speaking about insidious policy of Armenians against Azerbaijanis, which has been carried out over many centuries, she commended for holding such competitions and events.
The 36 participants, authors of the best painting, who have won, I, II and III places, have been handed over diplomas and prizes of the Ministry of Education.
A thousand of pupils and students took part in the Republican Art Competition on theme “Armenian genocide.” There have been established a jury for the selection of artworks, were chosen the best works and presented to the Republican round. Experts of Azerbaijan Arts Academy considered 400 artworks presented to the round and selected 250 of them.
At the end participants looked at the pictures reflecting Armenian atrocities.
