Event on accreditation rules and quality standards
The Department of Accreditation and Nostrification of the Ministry of Education has held an event on accreditation rules and quality standards for general education institutions.
Organized under TAIEX program of the European Union, the event involved local and foreign experts.
The event aimed to discuss accreditation rules for general education institutions in Azerbaijan and quality standards for evaluating their activities, as well as development of cooperation with appropriate international organizations, and expansion of the study and application of international experience.
Experts at the sessions included Elizabeth Fordham from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, honorary professor at Dublin City University, expert at the Centre for Evaluation, Quality and Inspection Joe O’Hara, and senior officials of Baku City Education Department, Education Institute, Institute for Professional Development of Education Workers and general education institutions.
Foreign experts shared their experience in evaluating quality in general education institutions. The event featured discussions on the appropriate mechanisms applied in European countries.
