Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov meets with delegation of Clarivate Analytics company
Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov met with a delegation of Clarivate Analytics company on October 20.
Participants in the meeting included Global Head of Emerging Markets at Clarivate Analytics Viji Krishnan, Education Programs Director Valentin Bogorov and the company`s representative in Azerbaijan Aygun Babazade.
They discussed the course of implementation of the agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Thomson Reuters, the achievements made under the agreement, as well as current challenges and prospects. Signed in 2005, the agreement gave higher education institutions in Azerbaijan access to products and services of Thomson Reuters, including Web of Science®, the most comprehensive and versatile research platform available.
The minister said the government set strategic goals of accelerating integration of Azerbaijani scientists into the world academic community, increasing the number and improving quality of scholarly articles by Azerbaijani scientists in peer-reviewed journals, promoting Azerbaijani science globally. Mikayil Jabbarov stressed the role of cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Clarivate Analytics in achieving these goals.
