Meetings within the framework of UEFA European Under-17 Championship Azerbaijan-2016
Employees of the local Organizing Committee of “UEFA European Under-17 Championship Azerbaijan-2016” tournament have held meetings with pupils of secondary schools in Baku.
Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the meetings aimed to encourage young generation`s interest in football and increase their awareness of the Under-17 championship.
The Organizing Committee employees met with more than 3700 pupils in 46 secondary schools. The meetings were attended by footballers playing in the national league and for the national team, as well as youth, who will compete in the Under-17 championship, and Ambassador of the championship, Honored Artist Roya. During the meetings the Organizing Committee employees informed pupils about the Under-17 championship and responded to their questions.
They emphasized the importance of encouraging children`s interest in football and healthy lifestyle through UEFA European Under-17 Championship, and also stressed the necessity of supporting Azerbaijan`s national team at the championship.
