The Ministry of Education will reward scientific works
In order to recognize the scientific achievements of Azerbaijan on the international arena, to increase research activities and publishing activities of scientific and pedagogical staff of higher educational institutions, the Ministry of Education will hold a competition for awarding for scientific works, published in the magazines which are included in "Thomson Reuters" database.
A quality indicator for scientific activities of scientific and pedagogical staff of higher educational institutions will be taken into account in the competition. A quality indicator for scientific activities of the authors will be determined by special methods, developed and approved by the Ministry of Education.
The competition will be held once in a year, at the end of the calendar year and detailed information will be given in this regard.
It should be noted that the cooperation agreement was signed between the Ministry of Education and the Department of Scientific Research and Intellectual Property of "Thomson Reuters" company on December 22, 2015. According to the agreement on cooperation, 40 higher educational institutions of the country were provided with the opportunity to subscribe and to have access to the corporation's products and services. In addition, employees of the Ministry were given access to the "Web of Science" platform.
