The countrywide knowledge competition has started

On November 10, the second countrywide knowledge competition entitled "Heydar Aliyev and the history of Azerbaijan" has started among students of higher education institutions at the Heydar Aliyev Center.

The project, implemented with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Center and the Ministry of Education, is aimed to study life and activities of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, to keep alive the legacy of the great leader and to promote it among the younger generation.

The teams consisting of students, studying at higher education institutions in Azerbaijan, are taking part in the competition. This year, a total of 46 teams, with one team from each university, are competing in the competition. Each participating team has 6 main and 2 reserve members. It should be noted that last year, 44 teams participated in the knowledge competition.

The competition will consist of 3 rounds and 12 questions will be submitted in each of them. The questions will cover topics related to the different periods of life and activities of great leader Heydar Aliyev. The winning team will be determined on the basis of the total points earned in rounds.

It should be noted that on the eve of competition, all the teams have visited the Heydar Aliyev Center. During these visits, students have become familiar with the Heydar Aliyev Museum functioning in the Center, have obtained information about the life and activities of the national leader and have conducted research on the basis of photos, videos, and other rich archival materials.

First-, second- and third-place teams will be awarded with valuable prizes and diplomas by the Heydar Aliyev Center and the Ministry of Education. Special Certificates of Participation will be presented to other participants of the event.
