Assessments and studies
Ongoing research by the Ministry of Education
Young foresters from Azerbaijan took part in the XII International Junior Forest Contest in Moscow and Suzdal.
The ecological project "Let`s protect forests from fire" of young foresters, who participated in the contest at the invitation of Federal Forestry Agency of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and with the organizational support of the Republican Ecological Training and Experience Center of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic, was qualified for the final.
The finalists, gathered in Moscow, continued to struggle in Suzdal. 43 pupils and students from 24 countries tested their knowledge in the field of forestry.
Making proposals on fire safety of forests in their speeches, young foresters appealed to the youth of the world and underlined the importance of joint efforts in this field.
Azerbaijani schoolchildren took an active part in quizzes and competitions held during the contest and in the establishment of the Alley of friendship, and were awarded with certificate of honor and prizes. In the final event of the international competition, young foresters of Ismayilli region - Anna Orlova and Timofey Prokofiev were awarded with Certificate of Honor by the Committee for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Parliament of the Russian Federation, special awards by CIS Parliament, commemorative medals and diplomas established by Federal Forestry Agency of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation.
