The "Education" and "Career" exhibitions are held in Baku.
On October 9, the 9th Azerbaijan International Education and Career exhibitions were launched at Baku Expo Centre with the official support of the Ministry of Education.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by Jeyhun Bayramov, Deputy Minister of Education, heads of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, representatives of the diplomatic corps in the country.
In his speech, Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the role of education in economic life is one of the main challenges of recent period. So, education plays a crucial role in improving the knowledge and skills of people and in preparing them for a successful future.
Deputy Minister noted that the exhibition would contribute to the cooperative relationships among the various educational institutions and would create additional opportunities for educators and learners.
124 enterprises from 16 countries are participating in the International "Education" exhibition, which began today. The higher education institutions of Azerbaijan, USA, UAE, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Hungary and other countries, as well as colleges, education and training courses, public organizations and institutions are among the participants. The First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, Samara State Aerospace University named after academician S.P. Korolyov, Institute of Transport and Communications of Latvia, the National University of Science and Technology "MISiS", Mordovia State National Research University named after N.P.Ogarev, Poland's University of Euroregional Economy take part in the exhibition for the first time.
Detailed information on plans and programs, intended by the Ministry of Education for the coming years, is made available at the stand of the Ministry, which caused great interest of the participants.
Within the framework of the exhibition, Akif Suleymanov, Rector of Azerbaijan University of Technology, and Bahruz Hidayatzadeh, director of "Caspian Event Organisers" LLC, signed a memorandum of cooperation. The purpose of the memorandum, signed in the presence of Deputy Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, is to create additional opportunities for the implementation of the Customer Oriented Program and to provide support for the effective implementation of the program. It should be noted that Customer Oriented Program, implemented by the Ministry of Education, is conducted as a pilot program at Azerbaijan University of Technology. The main goal of the program is to encourage higher education institutions to focus on customer-oriented activities.
The educational community shows great interest in the two-day exhibition.
