The competition for admission of students to the Baku branch of First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov for the academic year 2015-2016 has been completed.
100 students, who will be educated in the first academic year in the branch, have already been determined. 54 of them have received secondary education in Baku, 14 of them - in Ganja and the remaining 32 people - in other regions of the country. 89 of them have finished secondary school in Russian and 11 of them have finished secondary school in Azerbaijani. The teaching process will be conducted in Russian.
The branch building is located on the campus of the Academy of Sciences and is equipped with modern equipment in accordance with the standards established for medical education. Specialty subject classes will be taught by the teaching staff of First Moscow State Medical University. Humanitarian and foreign language lessons will be taught by teachers, selected from higher education institutions of Azerbaijan through a competition.
It should be remembered that the entrants, who scored 350 points or more at examinations held by the State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) for the fourth specialty group, could participate in the entrance examinations conducted by the Commission of First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov for admission to the branch. These entrants have passed the Russian language and chemistry exams via the internet in an online format for the Commission established by First Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov.
The teaching activities of the branch will be carried out on the basis of teaching plan and programs of Moscow State Medical University and the graduates will be presented with the Diploma of this higher education institution.
