On April 16, the event dedicated to the model project of modern education technology on TOPs-Physical education, was held at the full secondary school no. 269 in Baku. This project is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Bakcell company, the British Council and “Sport for development” Public Union.
It was noted that the main objective of the project is to provide educators with the modern education technology on physical education in schools of general education. At the same time, the application of this method will enable to create a favorable environment, ensuring the development of pupils’ movement skills and to achieve the application of educational technologies, focusing on the protection of pupils` physical and psychological health during the study period.
It should be noted that this project is carried out as a pilot project at the secondary schools no. 138, 269, and 220 in Baku. Within the framework of the project, 25 physical education teachers, selected from target schools in Baku, were involved in the five-day training on TOPs program, having the modern and innovative learning method, by international and local specialists.
More than 100 students participated in the first sports festival, held at secondary school No. 269. They competed in various sports and performed songs and dance numbers for the guests of the festival.
Then, “Open lessons”, taught by Victoria Garayeva, Jafar Huseynov, Sanan Osmanli, Galina Deryabina and Azer Akberov (physical education teachers) in 5th, 6th, 8th and 10th classes, were observed.
