“SABAH GROUPS” project
Date of creation: 2014-2015 academic year
Purpose: To ensure the development of the intellectual and creative potential of students and their full mastery of competences in specialties, to improve the quality of teaching in higher education and to apply innovative teaching methods in education.
Information: Citizens of Azerbaijan who are studying in the first year of full-time education in specialties defined in higher education institutions under the Ministry of Science and Education, who have no academic debts on the results of the first semester of the first academic year and whose average score is not less than 61, can apply to SABAH groups. The following projects and activities have been carried out as part of the “SABAH GROUPS” project:
SABAH Career Development Exhibition; SABAH Innovation Forum; “Education Abroad” Exhibition; SABAH Career Academy; SABAH Winter Career School; SABAH Knowledge Competition; SABAH Arts Festival; SABAH “Your English Voice” Competition; SABAH Student Debate Forum; SABAH Tax Knowledge Competition; London Summer School; “Sarbon Abu Dhabi” Experience Exchange Events; SABAH Teacher Internship Program.
Scope: The SABAH groups currently cover 13 higher education institutions and 71 specializations in 8 fields. The SABAH Groups Project has announced the admission of students to 4 new undergraduate specializations and 5 new postgraduate specializations for the academic year 2024/2025.
A total of 895 undergraduate and 512 postgraduate students were enrolled in the SABAH Groups this academic year. There are currently 4,225 students enrolled in the Sabah Groups.
In the 2024/2025 academic year, student recruitment was carried out in 3 new higher education institutions (Nakhchivan State University, Garabakh University, Sumgayit State University) within the framework of the SABAH Groups Project.
The number of students, including graduates, in SABAH groups in 2014-2024 was 11,067.
