“Schoolchild’s friend” project
A safe school, a confident parent
Date of creation: 2016
Goal: Creating a safe school environment for teachers and students and providing primary medical and psychological support in case of emergencies.
Information: Any person with higher education aged between 21 and 30 who is a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan may apply to become a schoolchildren's friend. Persons selected as schoolchildren's friends are involved in ensuring the all-round personal and intellectual development of children at each age stage and in shaping their capacity for self-discipline and self-improvement.
Scope of the coverage: The project operates in a total of 226 general education institutions, including 186 in Baku, 20 in Absheron and 20 in Sumgayit. At present, 400 staff-friends of schoolchildren are working in the project, which covers about 400,000 pupils.
