Azerbaijani schoolchildren were awarded a gold medal at "Infomatrix Asia & Pacific" computer project Olympiad, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The Olympiad, organized by "Darin" science center of Kazakhstan and Suleyman Demirel University, was attended by 250 pupils from nearly 30 countries (Azerbaijan, Turkey, Pakistan, Russia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Somalia, Uganda, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Georgia, Venezuela, Jordan, Senegal, Bangladesh, India, South Africa, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, etc.). Azerbaijan was represented by two students of the lyceum “İstək” at the Olympiad.
In accordance with the rules, teams competed for the first place in 5 categories - programming, computer art, short film, "hardware" control, "Robotics".
Alsu Alizade and Pakiza Guliyeva, 8th grade students of the lyceum "İstək", presented "Line Follower" project in category "Robotics", gained the highest score and won a gold medal.
