• Azərbaycan Xalq Cümhuriyyəti hökumətinin 1918-ci il 28 may tarixli qərarı ilə maarif və təhsil üzrə ilk nazirlik-Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyi yaradılıb. Nazirlər Şurasının 30 iyun 1918-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin üç şöbədən (ümumi orta təhsil, ali və orta ixtisas təhsili, peşə məktəbləri) ibarət strukturu təsdiq olunub.

    Azərbaycan SSR Xalq Komissarları Sovetinin 28 aprel 1920-ci il tarixli qərarı ilə Xalq Maarifi Nazirliyinin adı dəyişdirilərək Xalq Maarifi Komissarlığı adı ilə yenidən təşkil edilib və ölkədəki bütün təhsil müəssisələri bu qurumun tabeliyinə verilib.

Education is the future of the nation!

The Conference on "Upbringing children and youth in the spirit of national-moral and universal values in educational institutions", co-organized by the Ministry of Education and the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations, was held on April 10.

Mubariz Gurbanli, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations, Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Education Minister, Gamarkhanim Javadli, deputy Chair of the Caucasus Muslims Board, the scientist-theologians, education experts and NGO leaders attended the conference.
Mubariz Gurbanli, Chairman of the State Committee, opened the conference with introductory remarks and informed about the Action Plan, approved by the joint order of the Ministry of Education and the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations, on "Strengthening measures for the upbringing of children and youth in the spirit of respect for national-moral and universal values in educational institutions". M. Gurbanli spoke about the activities of President Ilham Aliyev for the protection of national and moral values in accordance with the policy of national leader Heydar Aliyev and noted the work, done in this direction. Emphasizing the role of educational institutions in the upbringing of the children and the young generation in the spirit of national-moral values, he expressed satisfaction with the consistent implementation of work in this direction. The chairman of the committee reminded the necessity of approach to national-moral values through the prism of succession and modernity and spoke about its importance in terms of statehood and cultural heritage.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Education Minister Firudin Gurbanov noted that the national leader attached special importance to the education and upbringing of youth in the national spirit and on the basis of national-moral values. F.Gurbanov also mentioned that the development of the function of upbringing of education is considered a priority in the "National Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan", approved by President Ilham Aliyev. He expressed his confidence that the implementation of measures, stipulated in the Action Plan, approved by the joint order of the Ministry of Education and the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations, will play an important role in the spiritual upbringing of children and youth.
Vasim Mammadaliyev, scientist-theologian and academic, Mahabbat Valiyeva, the deputy chief of Education Department of Baku City, and others expressed their opinions in the event. The speakers talked about the various aspects of the work done towards the upbringing of the young generation in the spirit of national-moral values.
