The competitive examinations for the recruitment of teachers to general education institutions and vocational lyceums started on July 21.
The competitive examination for recruitment of teachers will be held at the 2nd academic building (AZ1072, Baku, Narimanov district, Hasan Aliyev street 135) of Azerbaijan State Economic University on June 21-29, 2015.
A total of 24 437 people have submitted an application and the applications of 21 795 people have been accepted. The vast majority of the applicants are primary school teachers.
According to the classification of persons, who have submitted electronic applications, on subjects, 6 440 (29,54 percent) of them are primary school teachers, 2 971 (13.63 percent) of them are Azerbaijani language and literature teachers, 2 354 (10,80 percent) of them are English language teachers, 1 916 (8.79 percent) of them are Mathematics teachers, 1 260 (5.78 percent) of them are History teachers, 1 152 (5.28 percent) of them are Computer Science teachers, 974 (4.46 percent) of them are physical education teachers, 954 (4.37 percent) of them are geography teachers, 804 (3.68 percent) of them are biology teachers, 778 (3.56 percent) of them are physics teachers, 665 (3.05 percent) of them are chemistry teachers, 475 (2.17 percent) of them are technology teachers, 289 (1.32 percent) of them are fine arts teachers, 211 (0,96 percent) of them are music teachers, 180 (0.82 percent) of them are Russian language teachers, 151 (0.69 percent) of them are Russian language and literature teachers, 118 (0.54 percent) of them are French language teachers and 103 (0.47 percent) of them are German language teachers.
The most preferred vacancies among candidates are as follows: 351 seats (10.14 percent) in Baku, 202 seats (5.83 percent) in Jalilabad region, 180 seats (5.20 percent) in Lachin region, 172 seats (4.96 percent) in Guba region, 165 seats (4.76 percent) in Lerik region.
The vast majority (19 911 people, 91.36 percent) of persons, whose applications have been accepted, are young people under the age of 35. 1 661 (7.62 percent) of them are between the ages of 35-50, 223 (1.02 percent) of them are between the ages of 50-65.
