The number of foreign students, who chose Azerbaijan State University of Economics (ASUE), increased.
In the academic year 2015-2016, 51 foreign students were accepted into Azerbaijan State University of Economics (ASUE).
21 of them chose training courses for foreign students, 19 of them chose bachelor's degree, 3 of them chose master`s degree, 7 of them chose MBA and 1 of them chose doctoral degree.
Foreign students mostly preferred the specialties of Global Economics and Finance. Nigerian citizens prevail by the 21-member squad among the students. In general, foreign students studying at ASUE are citizens of Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Iran, Kuwait and Pakistan.
Starting from this year, admission of foreign students to ASUE was conducted only in electronic form. 85 electronic applications were accepted through the web page (http://admission.unec.edu.az/), created for this purpose. The applications were examined in accordance with the requirements of the "Rules of study of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign countries and foreigners and stateless persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan" approved by Resolution No. 125 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic dated May 15, 2015. After that, online interviews were organized via Skype with the applicants who meet the requirements. In the end, 51 people were deemed eligible to study at ASUE.
A total of 225 foreign students are currently studying at ASUE.
